A little about us and about Bothan Jura Retreat

Sitting above Corran Sands, at the gateway to the Paps in the crofting settlement of Knockrome, we have built Bothan Jura Retreat as a space to unwind, reconnect and explore the wild landscapes of the Isle of Jura. For us as much as you.

Our bothan lodges all come with Swedish wood-fired hot tubs and the cottage also has its own private sauna. On site we have a chilled, filtered ice barrel for cold water immersion; pizza ovens; a large fire pit; bikes; and a 10" Dobsonian telescope for guests to use on clear starry winter nights.

We've hand picked a few of the current books we're enjoying for each bothan, with board games and guides to some our local favourite walks nearby and a bit of Jura history. We are on hand to help you get the most out of Jura whilst you are here, or we can leave you well alone to rest, explore and re-set at your own lazy pace.

This year we are developing a workshop/ studio space for meditation, yoga, a game of pool or table tennis and well-loved library. We hope it will be a place to meet other folk and chew the fat as the storms blow out across the bay and the sun beckons you outside again.

Please visit Jura's tourism site at: isleofjura.scot for more information on the island and what's on during your stay.

We look forward to welcoming you,

Pi & Lynton
